Turning Fear out the Door
The love of God – which operates through faith – will remove all fear,” There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love's complete perfection] – (1 John 4:18 AMP).” Fear cannot operate when faith is alive and abounding through God’s love in our life.
The only way for us to receive Christ is through faith. Once Christ is in our hearts, then love can begin to take deep roots. Then faith can really grow the way it should – abundantly. The more we love, the deeper the roots of love go within our hearts; which results in a stronger love for God and those about us. The more our love grows the more our faith is increased. To be full of faith, we must first be full of love (faith works or operates by love Galatians 5:6). This is the way God intended us to experience His power, through the fruit of love (Ephesians 3:17-19, Galatians 5:22).
Filling up with faith and God’s divine love, allows us to receive wisdom – the key to dealing with all of life’s issues, problems, and trials. Wisdom, applied, places us on solid ground and beside still waters – allowing us to live out and enjoy our dreams with complete confidence and peace!
Accomplishing What You’re Created to Do in Life
As stated in Matthew 11:28, the ways of Christ are easy and light. The word easy is translated as fit for use or good. Being created in the likeness of God and being born-again means that we Christians or like Christ, Who is our Creator.
Being redeemed from the corruption of sin to a new life in Christ makes us fit for use or good in the eyes of God. As a result, we cannot be contented with our old way of life – that being unfruitful and unproductive in calling and service of life – we were created as goal-oriented people.
When we read the account of “creation,” God used the word good (Genesis 1:4-31) a number of times, after He had accomplished what He set out to do. That’s why we feel fit for use or good when we do something positive or constructive. Because it is Him Who is working through us to His glory.
Being united with Christ gives meaning and purpose to life. Life is good because we now, for the first time, have real help – the unlimited force of our Creator working from within our spirit that has been born-again.
As a Christian, you’re a new creation. You old way of life past away and now you have God’s Spirit within your spirit – that is the fullness of God. We have all that we need to accomplish what we were created to do. That is to be a true servant of Jesus and help change the world about us.
So when we are united to Christ, we become one with Him in life’s journey. Due to our daily walk with Him, we can now be an “over-comer” in life. There is continued strength that directs and adds joys to life as we continue life’s voyage with Him. We can’t set back and think that Jesus is going to “do it all.” He “did it all,” when He died for our sins. Now it is our responsibility to stand with Him and be the victorious and overcoming person He created us to be (1 John 5:4, 5)!
Moving Forward in God’s Plan for Your Life
Christ didn’t come to make anything more difficult, that wasn’t His mission. He came so that each one of us could easily accomplish the will of His Father. Jesus came to give us joy that the world or Satan would never be able to take away (John 15:9-11; John 16:19-28)! And to make certain of that, Jesus has already supplied us with all that we will ever need and ask for, according to His Word.
So to continue to move forward in God’s plan for our life of success, we must be diligent, persistent, and unshakeable in our belief of the Holy Scriptures. If the Bible says it – believe it! Don’t justify failure! Paul said in 2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV), “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ.”
Once God has stated a promise to the believer it is ours. Jesus instructs us in Matthew 7:7, 8 (NLT) to, “Keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks.”
Christ assures us, that if we diligently and faithfully believe and pursue the promises of God, we will find them, both naturally and spiritually (John 21:6; Hebrews 4:16). Let us believe with an unmovable faith and accept those promises that have been offered to us. Our relationship with Jesus, through discipleship, empowers us to always find what we need. That is to grow in Christ and be happy, prosperous, and in good health.
